| About the
Calendar Synthia Saint James is an internationally recognized fine artist, best known for her 50-plus book covers, which include Waiting to Exhale by Terry McMillan and Acts of Faith by Iyanla Vanzant. She is also the designer of the award winning U.S. postage stamp for Kwanzaa. This self-taught artist has completed over 35 commissions for individual collectors, some of which include The House of Seagram, The Girl Scouts USA, the Mark Taper Forum, Essence Magazine, Coca-Cola, Maybelline, Children's Institute International, Crystal Stairs, Johnnie L. Cochran Jr. and, most recently, the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles. This calendar also includes many references to important events, birthdays, and holidays relevant to Black history, along with monthly affirmations. |
