Greetings From National Black Book Festival Headquarters!

The 2010 National Black Book Festival is almost here and it's so exciting to hear from the authors, book clubs and readers who will converge in Houston in only a couple of weeks.  Over 100 authors will be showcasing their books, representing a variety of genres and from all parts of the country.

The Festival will be held in its entirety at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in downtown Houston.  We have special room rates at the Crowne Plaza and we encourage you to make your reservations early.  Call 1-877-834-3613 and request the NBBF room block.  If you call and rooms are all taken, please let us know as we can add to our room block as rooms sell out.  The deadline for the discounted registration for our room block is May 7, 2010.

Continental Airlines has provided discounted airfares for Festival attendees.  Visit the Continental web site at www.continental.com.  Our offer code is ZU0TDE0VJD.

The Literary Breakthrough Conference, which is being held in conjunction with the Festival, is a full-day conference with a lineup of publishing industry experts which is nearly unparalleled in its depth and breadth.  Held on Friday, May 21st from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., the conference presents an incredible opportunity for those who have been seeking access to agents, publishers and book promoters. (www.nationalblackbookfestival.com/breakthrough.htm).
